Are we as a society and citizenry sometimes guilty of being close-minded and stuck in our own ways, when it comes to workplace opportunities and possibilities? Are you married to a career? Are you close minded to what you think is the best job for you? Could it be possible to have misfired on your calling?? One prime example I believe to being and remaining open mindful to SUCCESS and opportunity in various, far ranging industries is the celebrity, Arnold Schwarzenegger. Now, we can all admit he is no role model in the domestic or female relationship department, in fact in this area he is one of the worst, with a plethora of infidelities, problems and more..but...moving along... Do we sometimes get set in our ways?? Are you a "regular" somewhere?? Are you a Routine Person? Do you like to keep it Fresh and Mix it up?? Like the 80's TV show, CHEERS, is their a place where everyone knows your name?? For example, one could be a regular at the Gym, the Yoga Studio, The library, the Park, a Video Store?? I think sometimes we are all guilty of going to, attending, visiting and hanging out, at the SAME places, stores and business we feel comfortable in. Sometimes this is okay and completely permissible. Also if you have found a FANTASTIC place, venue, bar, park, that is worth it, and we're unaware of, please comment and include the OPEN MINDFUL audience. If happiness to you, is being a regular at your favorite place, then by all means, the USA is free country and your are more than welcome to. As an individual, do you personally feel your remaining OPEN MINDFUL to different lifestyles and cultures? Are you set in your ways? Are you stubborn?? Personally, I can describe experiencing first-hand a few select and special cities, countries and locations. For example, in Spain, the fashion, moped, coffee, siesta, and smoking cafe culture was quite prominent. In Spain instead of working a straight 9-5, they take a mid day siesta & lengthy pause from 1 to 3 pm. This siesta seemed to give the day a healthy break, before resuming in full economic force at 4pm with store re-openings and such. Is the siesta or mid day break something we in America, maybe could use a bit of?? Anther personal example would be daily break neck speed and constant energy of Manhattan. Liberal and Open Minded to me almost seem to be pseudonyms. I would guess it could be possible to be conservative and open minded, just in my eyes those two ideals seem to be juxtaposed. What in my upbringing and brain, elicits this open minded worldly outlook, and positive, friendly mindset??? It could have either been my parental affluent hippie 60's upbringing or perhaps my University Liberal Arts Education, or yet again my 5 full years of daily life in Manhattan and the mecca that is New York City. The Southern Experience. I am now officially 1 month and a week Happily removed from the mecca and whirlwind that is Manhattan. Yes, I am pleasantly and happily surprised. The flight was looong. Yet, upon arriving in Texas, I was startled to realize how CLEAN, everything is here. The streets are immaculate. I sometimes wonder looking around and marvel at how this urban cleanliness is so easily and successfully achieved. I was used to seeing trash baskets every two steps and walking through litter, even in the best of neighborhoods up there. It must be a pride thing? A unity of the common residents and citizenry to preserve their grounds for the greater good. Overall, I remain and continue to be impressed! Additional bonus points in the Southern Experience, include the SPACE and square footage of Everything. You name it, apartments, condos, retail stores, parks, movie-theaters, restaurants, cars, people, & all are much more spacious. No more cramming in tiny places. There is ROOM to...

2011, the year has arrived and is here. I mean honestly, we had the 90s, yet still have not garnered a name for this most previous decade. While at a diminutive, yet classy and charming spot in Nolita, overhead a fellow restaurateur while describing the decade from 2000-2009 refer to them as the "the Digits." What do you think? Catchy? Entertainment and excitement continue to arrive in ample amounts, here in New York City. The diversity, pace and all is welcomed. All walks and classes of people, encompass the island and neighboring areas. In recent developments, have been continuing to make effort at the elite private travel company and mix with the fellow associates. Again, it is a genuine place to make business efforts and develop towards mind boggling proportions. In so far as adventures, this weekend went to view a bud's comedy show in the East Village. I got free entry at the door and laughed through all the performances and sets. They say laughter is good for the soul and your health. I would agree! In another evidence of truth, continue to be embrace and have fun with promotional friends. They are courteous, professional, friendly and cool! As daily life continues in Manhattan, am continually impressed and enjoy the variety of life, neighborhoods, people and diversity that inhabit this region. This past weekend, was able to locate a new section in the Tribeca neighborhood and enjoyed it. This particular section was just west and parallel of Greenwich street and just South of Canal. In comparisons to the bustle of other areas, the area was classy, relaxed, affluent, peaceful and surprisingly cool. I could have sworn to have seen Rivers Cuomo from Weezer at an outdoor cafe? The residents came across as sophisticated adults. In addition, there were also patches of cobblestones streets, as the Westside Highway and sunshine loomed, steps away. Perhaps I too, may one day posses the funds, work opportunity and desire to be a contributing element to the community and it's lifestyles?
