What does being Open Mindful mean to you???

Liberal and Open Minded to me almost seem to be pseudonyms. I would guess it could be possible to be conservative and open minded, just in my eyes those two ideals seem to be juxtaposed. What in my upbringing and brain, elicits this open minded worldly outlook, and positive, friendly mindset??? It could have either been my parental affluent hippie 60's upbringing or perhaps my University Liberal Arts Education, or yet again my 5 full years of daily life in Manhattan and the mecca that is New York City. What does being Liberal and Open Minded mean to you?? Personally I think of it as being accepting of many different lifestyle choices and varieties. For example, I am pro choice and pro abortion for women before the 2nd trimester. I am pro gay marriage, for both male and female sexes. People and their PETS.

In the style of Jerry Seinfeld, " What's the deal with people and their pets? Dogs especially. What is the mass human attraction to dogs as pets? What in the minds and soul attracts humans to caring for, paying, walking and being an owner for these animals? Please help me understand . I mean, in my humble opinion, the negatives for dogs are, they can't talk with humans. A dog will never be able to speak and converse with their owner. Also they must constantly be cared for, bathed, walked, fed, leashed, cleaned up after and more. What joy do these dogs and animals bring? In addition dogs cause destruction to real estate, & are tough to constantly care for. They also smell and are not universally loved or accepted by guests. How are we ENTERTAINED?

DO you like to be entertained? IF your human, most people do and enjoy laughter, muses, lights and more. Just like the Kings and Jesters of yesteryear, in the modern age, we love ENTERTAINMENT too! Are you OPEN MINDFUL to different forms on entertainment? Which are your favorites? For example, off of the top of my head, I can think of books, live music, movies, television, broadway shows, bars & nightclubs, restaurants, stores, shopping malls, stand up comics, vacations, social media, friends, and the such. Am I leaving your favorite form out? Personally, I am open minded to various forms of entertainment. I love tv, live music, and nightlife. Yet, as the entertainment field changes and morphs, could be up for anything fresh? What are your favorite forms? Do you abstain from entertainment? Could this even be possible?
