May 29th, 2021, The Lone Star Book Festival in Seguin, Texas is ON!

 




Howdy & Happy New Year! 

 

While we still recover from the COVID19 pandemic, we are looking forward to getting back out there and meeting our fans, and participating in new and exciting ventures.  Our Twitter account is @LoneStarBF You can also, use the hashtag #LoneStarFestival and #SeguinTexas in your postings. 

 

The Lone Star Festival is still on target to happen on May 29, 2021. We have created the first round of social media images both in GIF and JPG that are attached and ready for you to begin using.  Let’s build towards a great event and getting people out on Memorial Day weekend for some FREE fun so they can buy up your books. 

 

Just a quick recap, we are still planning a Friday night reception on May 28th, we will post more information on the website as we get it more finalized. 


The Saturday event is currently scheduled from 9 AM – 4 PM.  I will be sending out notices to the authors in March or April to arrange book readings of 45-minute sessions each.  We will have three categories, Fiction, Non-Fiction, and Children’s.  A separate area is already established for those readings. 


We are still looking for musicians to play outside in the patio area during the event.  Having music inside would only cause sound issues that we have seen to not work well when authors are talking about their books. 


We are working on providing lunch on that day and will keep you advised as it gets closer.

Liberal and Open Minded to me almost seem to be pseudonyms. I would guess it could be possible to be conservative and open minded, just in my eyes those two ideals seem to be juxtaposed. How do we get there? Open Mindful with Transportation?

There are a number of ways, we as fellow humans transport ourselves from one destination to the other. Whether you are going somewhere for a work commute, visiting a friend's place, traveling, or exploring our world, there are a multitude of ways to get there. Let's discuss! Which method of movement is the most economical? efficient? Which mode of transportation is the coolest? the Healthiest? Some obvious transportation examples that come to mind include using a regular car, walking, train, bicycle, subway, plane, moped, motorcycle, cab, bus, boat, pedicab, limousine, hybrid car, the segway, and more I'm sure. MORALS.... Who is to Judge your Actions?

As we've discussed recently, each person is individually, physically and intellectually unique. What are your personal MORALS? Do you even have them? Should we, are they necessary? Let's not confuse morals with simply following the LAW. It is understood that the USA is a wonderful, prosperous splendid country with a plethora of freedoms. Of course, we are asked and try our best to faithfully follow our country's law and rules. But what about MORALS? Are you OPEN MINDFUL to morality? Whom is to judge what is right and wrong? Personally I would say just follow the Golden Rule. Simply treat others as you would like to be treated, with respect and kindness. Does having morals induce a better life? Often times, the BEST MOMENTS in my life, have occurred while having fun, living life with NO SHAME, and not upholding to a moral compass.
