The...Whirlwind

Image
The Whirlwind of time ceases to pause and continues its movement. It seems like just yesterday that my birthday was approaching, and it has already come and gone on the calendar. My younger brother has recommended, a five year plan? He may have a good point, as fantastic as my past, present and life has been, I guess planning for its future and continuation, could be viewed as an intelligent and wise choice as well? Yet perhaps to me, it is a little too much pondering. I keep living in the present, with daily, weekly, and monthly goals and aspirations. The phrase, "Be Here Now", comes to mind. My current location in New York City, may be a cause? It is such a fast paced and instant gratification environment. Whether its friends, girls, work, the weather, social itinerary, and all, the lifestyle is, what are you doing right now? What is the happening, positive, beneficial or fantastic thing for this pending moment. It seems as though people, and citizens of this dense, fun, d

The Break, Counter and Flip Side...

Well in this epic, timely and well deserved break and return to Texas, honestly have enjoyed it! My thoughts and perceptions were that it would be a peaceful, oasis and break from the speed and pace of NYC. Yet, in actuality the rowdiness and vibrant culture, nightlife, and hectic style continued. The weather has been warm, the people friendly, the shops more economical and the spaces bountiful. The wide lands of the state, even the downtown buildings are evident. Either biking or walking the territory and city by foot, takes effort and is vast enough. As I write this, just being in a house, with a lot and yard is quite amazing and splendid. There is grass, trees, birds, nature, and unobstructed sunlight. The sunny, pretty days, give an aura to the soul for a general well being. In addition, the citizenry is attractive as well. The girls are cute, wholesome, good looking, and are worthy to those in the counterpart mecca. In a recent happening, attended a sporting event at my university

Goodness Gracious....

Entertainment and excitement continue to arrive in ample amounts, here in New York City. The diversity, pace and all is welcomed. All walks and classes of people, encompass the island and neighboring areas. In recent developments, have been continuing to make effort at the elite private travel company and mix with the fellow associates. Again, it is a genuine place to make business efforts and develop towards mind boggling proportions. In so far as adventures, this weekend went to view a bud's comedy show in the East Village. I got free entry at the door and laughed through all the performances and sets. They say laughter is good for the soul and your health. I would agree! In another evidence of truth, continue to be embrace and have fun with promotional friends. They are courteous, professional, friendly and cool! They hook me and the sometimea entourage that chooses to join and partake. One event was at a swanky, music video like venue. While the next, merely minutes and moments

Wonder.....

As the days continue to trickle, I was recently and happily surprised when I received, not 1,but 2 New York State income tax refunds in the mail. The checks were immediately deposited, and the SATURDAY was given new vigor. With new found energy, the awarded funds were quickly put to use in my favorite neighborhoods of Soho and Nolita downtown. While, at the lounge, Cafe Select, pleasantly chatted a fellow traveler and Texan from Dallas. I sported the "hook 'em" horns sign, and his party graciously gave me a courtesy round on the house. I felt like a true local! After taking the NRW back to the apt in Midtown West, programmed with some Miller Lite. It honestly was great taste, and less filling. From there the night continued to a promoter's new venue in Nolita. I greeted a friend, Allison, there and EASILY got us in. This was a relief after, personally questioning my skills during a previous nights excursion and moderate success. Well, the night was rowdy, the girls w

Energy...Daytime & Night Time

Image
Energy? Human Energy? Where do we get it from? It is internal? Why is sleep required for our bodies and natural well being? Isn't it enjoyable? As the continuation of daily life in New York City and the Big Apple inches along, am realizing how valuable of a commodity energy is. I believe it is healthy and better fron oneself to get the proper amount of rest. Your brain functions, and you most probably look and feel better. Thus, each new action is improved and enhanced? Agree? In this environment of caffeine, people walking right past each other, subways whizzing us from neighborhood to neighborhood, sometimes I long for the peace and tranquility where constant energy is not a necessity. Perhaps a city, island, rural area, or spot in the world, where idleness, peace and normalcy is viewed as desirable. On a personal note, have started a new opportunity with www.bluestarjets.com as a consultant, agent and contributor to the company. Check out the website and information if you would

Latest Adventures and Discoveries.....

As daily life continues in Manhattan, am continually impressed and enjoy the variety of life, neighborhoods, people and diversity that inhabit this region. This past weekend, was able to locate a new section in the Tribeca neighborhood and enjoyed it. This particular section was just west and parallel of Greenwich street and just South of Canal. In comparisons to the bustle of other areas, the area was classy, relaxed, affluent, peaceful and surprisingly cool. I could have sworn to have seen Rivers Cuomo from Weezer at an outdoor cafe? The residents came across as sophisticated adults. In addition, there were also patches of cobblestones streets, as the Westside Highway and sunshine loomed, steps away. Perhaps I too, may one day posses the funds, work opportunity and desire to be a contributing element to the community and it's lifestyles? During the weekend, after being invited via Facebook to a girl's music venue and show in Williamsburg, was pleased to attend. Having minimal

A Beautiful Day for Freedom

Image
As summer enters the home stretch here in New York City, by all accounts describeable, today was gorgeous! In all it's glory the city was actually a HAPPY, eclectic, fashionable, diverse, bustling, and international affair. Overall am continually impressed with its energy, problems, and entire life spectrums. The immense and powerful rays of the sunshine beamed down below to us citizens on Planet Earth. The distinctive, adjacent neighborhoods play their roles well. Soho was an artsy, shopping, cafe filled trot. The edgy cool of Nolita continued to display a positive ambiance. Taking the king slice today, was Union Square. Despite it's sometime downtrodden feel, had a chic and inviting aura. It's location is a true compass for the island. From Union Square, East, West, North and South are all possible and interesting ventures. The diversity is welcoming, and fantastic! I am almost spoiled with my ability to recognize it. A pretty girl was reading a foreign book, my gut said

The Competitive Life...

Image
As a youth growing up in Austin, Texas had an ideal, affluent and wonderful child hood and upbringing! During the course of growing up, was gifted with excellent schools, parenting, camps, friends and more. One aspect that was very prominent was my and our family's participation in sports and team oriented events. The lessons and skills, learned from the athletic fields I feel should be recalled and injected back into present day life. The camaraderie and friendship of sports is positive and bonding. In addition, the thrill of live competition with an active audience is engaging, nerve racking and watchful. Also, the mentors and coaches were role model figures, often fun personalities, and disciplinarians as well. I feel as though my competitive swagger in sports has waned in present day and not transferred to other areas in life. No, I will most likely not ever be, nor am a professional athlete. I was a college athlete though, that's true. Yet, the competitive fire, camaraderi

Politics...Government

Image
Politics and Government are a huge business, entity and over riding presence in each individuals lives. No matter what country or region of the world you live in, the government plays an integral and powerful effect in your society, surroundings, and environment. Most of us take this for granted and depending on our level on inter erst, just assume that everything is going smoothly and that other than voting, we have no real say in most situations. Well, as taxes are paid and decisions are made on local and national level, believe it is important for us to at least keep an eye and honest, open minded, opinion on the subjects. While we all have right to agree, or disagree, each person's voice should be respected and listened to. Personally, at the moment, have no ambitions to run for any sort of office or be involved in the political arena. (suit and tie culture not my everyday thing) In America, believe the two party system has proved positive so far. The new developing Tea-Party a

America For Sale, we have room....

Well, July 4th has come and gone. The Midway point of the summer has passed. The Westisde Highway and fireworks were extravagant. My neighborhood was loaded with tourists and city dwellers. The entertainment and sky was lit up with color and patriotism. Yet for some reason, I wasn't that in to it! Really? Perhaps it is because I had seen them before. Or perhaps my patriotism has waned. Don't get me wrong, I love the U.S.A and all its diversity, opportunities, land, people, culture and freedoms. The idea of travel sounds positive. Maybe visiting other countries and seeing how FORTUNATE, we are will wake me up to the possibilities for wealth, happiness and opportunity that can arise here. I am curious as to our nation's populations numbers. We have room for numerous foreigners, yet much of our lands and states are not deemed ATTRACTIVE enough to lure the exotic, wealthy foreigners. Our country could use a sales team. I think more and new people in the melting pot, from around

New Perceptions & Mutual respect

Image
Recently this past weekend, was the Pride Parade and celebration in the city. This barrage of people, eccentric characters, and lifestyles is a unique culture and segment of our society. The neighborhoods of Chelsea and the West Village were inundated with people, barricades, activity and more. It seems as though everyone participated, whether they were gay, straight or whatever. True, Open Mindedness. In a discussion with a fellow human, in the evening we discussed the gay rights and advancements in our society, world and culture. He seemed to feel as though there was not as much equality and progress made as there should be. I agreed, with him that it is valid issue, modern and prevalent topic in our society. In so far as it's progress, reminded him that yes, The United States is a free country, with liberty and justice for all. We both agreed, amongst other numerous wonderful reasons, this freedom makes America great and attractive to foreigners as well. I suggested and correlat

Summer Time....

Image
Well ladies and gentlemen, the Summer Spectacular has officially hit. The weather is impeccable and downright utopia-like at times. The human pace and energy continues to be brisk, and addicting. Yes, it can be addicting! Sometimes, you forget that your walking directly past people in a close proximity. Either way, it's sort of a rush. Enjoyable! There are moments, when a beautiful girl walks past, that I stop to grasp the moment and admire this breathlessness. It is the whole human spectrum of life that inhabits the island of Manhattan. The "Darwinist" vibes force us to make efforts to prevail. These vibes and feelings are genuine, provacative and at moments cumbersome. In other news, amidst a recent exchange while sitting at the "Bow Tie," a nickname for the TKS steps in Times Square, struck up an engaging conversation with a gorgeous girl from Italy. She was beautiful, eccentric and intelligent. Her various beliefs included that she was agnostic in religion,

Out and About

Memorial Weekend has passed and summer is officially here. The weekend free days, energy, and happiness level could be felt all over. New York City continues to provide the pace, and welcoming joys that people appreciate and embrace being a part of. In so far as the adventures, undertaken there are plenty to talk about. While in the West Village, was able to meet a birthday girl at a local venue. She was cute, bubbly and having fun in her moment. In addition, her friends were comforting, attractive, caring and friendly. I invited them all back to Midtown West with me. Yet we ended up in a West Village apartment listening to her record player. There were a plethora of options, yet we went through Elton John, Jimi Hendrix and more. The next evening was able to play host to one of my younger brother's friends from England. We exchanged numbers through facebook and met up on St. Marks. After a few crawls, we visited a club as well. She was overwhelmed by the club. The next day, I showe

Well..well.

Well, it has come time to put up or shut up I'm afraid. Perhaps this may be a tad bit drastic yet, on this wave we call, "life," yet those are the current thoughts of the moment. In so far as a week in review, overall, it has again been relatively positive. I've had better, believe me! Some of my weeks here, have been ridiculously fun and amazing. In comparison to the rest of the citizen folk, feel in general my life stories and experiences fare more fruitful and colorful than others. In essence, I'm in kind of an identity where abouts and conundrum. For the present, am still a licensed real estate agent in Texas, yet do LIVE in New York City, which I adore! Now, that the weather is wonderful and summer is arriving on the island, have no desire to abandon it. The continuation of being in the parks, sitting in the cafes, and stores, enjoying the nightlife and visiting with people from around the world, is too splendid. So the questions is, what is my role here in t

More..and time to breathe?

The weekend has passed, yet the fun times do not. It is the city that never sleeps. Always something to do, new people to see and meet. This weekend, I must admit was fast and furious. There was so much nightlife and a whirlwind of activity. Also, the weather here is amazing! I met a wonderful and likable girl at the Tribeca Grand Hotel. She really took a liking too me, and mentioned how LUCKY I was to be a single person living in the center of Manhattan. This made me not want to take it for granted. She was friendly, blonde, young and playful. My southern hospitality is one thing that is foregin up here. It's like I'm the nice that guy that wins? Does this make sense? The girls and ladies must be used to the opposite, or perhaps the male psyche and manners need a makeover as whole? Last night I met a friendly gentlemen visiting from England. He had the accent and everything. We chilled at my apartment for a bit. He told me about his trip to the Midwest. He liked Columbus, Ohio

Late...

The days continue to strum and hum along in New York City. I have been able to reconnect with previous friends and buds, while creating new ones along the way. In addition to relationships, enjoy the randomness and variety the city possess. In addition, receiving updates from my promotional friends and buds has been so welcoming. They are wonderful at providing fun places and enjoyable and pretty nightlife, fashion and events. They have enjoyable occupations and am pleased to know them and join in the fun, every so often. Having learned the way of the land here, and am quite successful at touring the city and getting places by foot or subway. Everything is so close, just a couple stops or blocks away. I honestly would be a superstar concierge or host to anyone visiting New York City to vacation or live. The spring and summer are close and are very enjoyable seasons in the year. I enjoy being able to see people in the streets. It adds a positive and vibrant energy to the pace and scene.

Still Rolling....

Image
Well, the days in New York City continue to hum along. In addition, the pace grows as the SUN starts to shed its face and fall upon the masses. It is fantastic! There are times, when the scenery almost takes my breath away. Sometimes, it has the power to literally stop me in my tracks and cause a head to be turned. Recently, provided some temporary help and work to a New York City firm. We held an international conference at the Sheraton Hotel on 53rd and 7th. In my opinion it was elegant and positive. We were "people brokers" and helped introduce established and wonderful companies to potential financial "buyers" for their stock and firms. Although there could have been more attendees, overall is was a beneficial and enjoyable time. I recently played as host to a new friend from Montreal. She was a welcoming blend of French, European and American culture, rolled into one bundle of joy and happiness. As a southern boy-man, hospitality, courtesy and friendliness come

New Vigor

The energy continues to amaze, as the weather warms up and the spring season settles in. People continue to cruise the streets with a happier and more joyful bounce to their step. The sunshine, diversity and plethora of shopping, dining, and living options is boundless. Each neighborhood has its own unique feel. Recently while being out and about caught eyes and ran into a previous girlfriend from Russia. She invited me to sit with her and her friend. She was the same wonderful and plea sent girl, I recalled. Her foreign English accent was fun and different. Her friend was from Alabama. I mentioned my home states somber feel, towards the most recent National Championship outcome. As the evening advanced, I cruised 3rd avenue, and witnessed the bountiful amount of people, different restaurants and places. The east side was similar, yet just a fun as the west side. No discrimination here. I posed a question to a fellow walker, "How comes there's no East Side Highway?" He me

A quick Romp

Hello all, good evening and well being. Today was an enjoyable venture and romp through "Modern Day Rome" aka New York City. The diversity, pace, culture and international flavors continue to amaze me. I am impressed and welcome by the city's urban environment . Yet, also find peace in the parks, and also the West side Highway. For example, today I enjoyed a healthy salad at Whole Foods in Columbus Circle, next sat on the rocks in Central Park, and listened to foreign girls discuss the news in Northern Europe. This was followed by a brief skip down 5 th Avenue, to a favorite, H&M. The model advertisements, variety, price, music, clientele and all make it one of my favorite retail experiences . Tonight plan to have relaxing evening and enjoy the apt and break from the action.
