What does being Open Mindful mean to you???

Liberal and Open Minded to me almost seem to be pseudonyms. I would guess it could be possible to be conservative and open minded, just in my eyes those two ideals seem to be juxtaposed. What in my upbringing and brain, elicits this open minded worldly outlook, and positive, friendly mindset??? It could have either been my parental affluent hippie 60's upbringing or perhaps my University Liberal Arts Education, or yet again my 5 full years of daily life in Manhattan and the mecca that is New York City. What does being Liberal and Open Minded mean to you?? Personally I think of it as being accepting of many different lifestyle choices and varieties. For example, I am pro choice and pro abortion for women before the 2nd trimester. I am pro gay marriage, for both male and female sexes. MORALS.... Who is to Judge your Actions?

As we've discussed recently, each person is individually, physically and intellectually unique. What are your personal MORALS? Do you even have them? Should we, are they necessary? Let's not confuse morals with simply following the LAW. It is understood that the USA is a wonderful, prosperous splendid country with a plethora of freedoms. Of course, we are asked and try our best to faithfully follow our country's law and rules. But what about MORALS? Are you OPEN MINDFUL to morality? Whom is to judge what is right and wrong? Personally I would say just follow the Golden Rule. Simply treat others as you would like to be treated, with respect and kindness. Does having morals induce a better life? Often times, the BEST MOMENTS in my life, have occurred while having fun, living life with NO SHAME, and not upholding to a moral compass. The "Instant Gratification" Culture

In our current American Culture and society there tends be an "instant gratification" way of living. Would you agree our present day, Modern culture leans toward "instant gratification." If not, how would you better describe it? I too, am guilty of this me, now, make it happen culture . For example we as a society are: willing to eat fast food we avoid lengthy lines we can't handle car traffic we want our waiters attentive and speedy. In business, we always ask for a quick response. We hope for immediate successful dates and nights out. The social media avenues always display instant, up to the latest minute info. Television proclaims to, "be right back" The message today is to embrace and run with this "instant gratification" culture, because in my gut feel it is here to stay!
